Kristrún Mjöll Frostadóttir is an Icelandic politician and economist. Born in 1988, she is the current Prime Minister of Iceland, having assumed office in December 2024. She is also the leader of the Social Democratic Alliance. She was elected to the Althing (Icelandic parliament) in the 2021 parliamentary election. At age 37, she is the world's second youngest serving state leader, marking a new generation in Icelandic politics.
