Sam Nujoma is a Namibian revolutionary, anti-apartheid activist, and politician. He served as the first president of Namibia for three terms, from 1990 to 2005, playing a pivotal role in the country's transition to independence. He was a founding member and the first president of the South West Africa People's Organisation (SWAPO) in 1960, leading the fight against apartheid and for Namibian self-determination.
