Mahmoud Jibril el-Warfally was a Libyan politician who played a pivotal role during the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. He served as the interim Prime Minister of Libya for seven and a half months, chairing the executive board of the National Transitional Council (NTC) from March to October 2011. Jibril also held the position of Head of International Affairs during this tumultuous period. In July 2012, he became the head of the National Forces Alliance, one of the largest political parties in Libya.
