Joshua Wong Chi-fung is a Hong Kong activist and politician known for his pro-democracy advocacy. He gained international prominence during the 2014 Hong Kong protests, also known as the Umbrella Movement, where he played a pivotal role. Wong served as secretary-general of the pro-democracy party Demosistō until it disbanded following the implementation of the Hong Kong national security law. He was previously the convenor and founder of the student activist group Scholarism, advocating for democratic reforms.
