Dame Andrea Jacqueline Leadsom is a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Northamptonshire from 2010 to 2024. A member of the Conservative Party, she held various ministerial positions under Prime Ministers David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak between 2014 and 2024. Leadsom served in the Cabinet as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Leader of the House of Commons, and Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. She twice ran for leadership of the Conservative Party.
