Tom Morello, born in 1964, is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and political activist celebrated for his innovative guitar work and left-leaning political views. He is best known for his role as the guitarist for the iconic rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, where he blended hard rock with funk, rap, and politically charged lyrics. Beyond his band work, Morello has released solo material under the moniker the Nightwatchman and collaborated with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He also co-founded Axis of Justice, advocating for social justice through music and activism.
