Roch Marc Christian Kaboré is a Burkinabé banker and politician who served as the President of Burkina Faso from 2015 until his ouster in a 2022 coup. Prior to his presidency, he was the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso from 1994 to 1996, and also served as President of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso from 2002 to 2012. He was a prominent figure in Burkinabé politics, holding leadership positions in both the Congress for Democracy and Progress (CDP) and later founding the People's Movement for Progress party.
