Nikola Gruevski is a former Macedonian politician who served as Prime Minister of Macedonia for over nine years, from 2006 until his resignation in 2016. He also led the VMRO-DPMNE party from 2004 to 2017. His tenure as Prime Minister was marked by infrastructure projects, economic policies, and, ultimately, political unrest. He is the longest serving post-independence Macedonian prime minister.
