Mustafa Abduldzhemil Jemilev, also known as Mustafa Qırımoğlu, is a prominent Crimean Tatar leader, human rights activist, and politician. Born in Crimea in 1943, he is the former chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People. Jemilev has been a member of the Ukrainian Parliament since 1998 and served as Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar People from 2014 to 2019. He is a former Soviet dissident and a key figure in the Crimean Tatar National Movement.
