Mohammed al-Bashir is a Syrian politician and engineer who currently serves as the minister of energy in the Syrian transitional government. He has held this position since March 2025. Al-Bashir previously served as the last prime minister of Syria. As prime minister, he led the Syrian caretaker government, which was formed after the fall of the Assad regime. Al-Bashir succeeded Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali in that role.
