John Antonio "Johnny" Briceño is a Belizean politician currently serving as the fifth Prime Minister of Belize since 2020. He has also been the leader of the People's United Party (PUP) since 2016. Prior to becoming Prime Minister, Briceño served as Leader of the Opposition on two separate occasions, from 2008 to 2011 and again from 2016 to 2020. His political career includes a term as Deputy Prime Minister under Prime Minister Said Musa from 1998 to 2007.
