Jo Jorgensen is an American libertarian political activist and academic. Born in 1957, she has been a prominent voice in the Libertarian Party for decades. Jorgensen was the Libertarian Party's nominee for president of the United States in 2020, securing over 1.9 million votes. She also ran as the party's vice-presidential nominee in 1996. In addition to her political endeavors, Jorgensen is a full-time lecturer of psychology at Clemson University.
