O'Shea Jackson, known professionally as Ice Cube, is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, and film producer. He is a central figure in West Coast hip hop and gangsta rap. Ice Cube's work with N.W.A's 1989 album "Straight Outta Compton" helped popularize gangsta rap. His solo albums such as "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted", "Death Certificate", and "The Predator" were critically and commercially successful. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A in 2016.
