Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe is an Ethiopian politician who served as the prime minister of Ethiopia from 2012 to 2018. He also served as deputy prime minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs prior to assuming the position of Prime Minister. Hailemariam succeeded Meles Zenawi after his death in 2012. During his tenure, he also held the position of chairperson of the African Union.
