Daniel Robert Elfman is an American film composer, singer, songwriter, and musician celebrated for his distinctive and eclectic style. He initially gained fame as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the new wave band Oingo Boingo in the early 1980s. Since transitioning to film scoring in 1985, Elfman has composed music for over 100 feature films, as well as television, stage productions, and concert halls, earning international acclaim and numerous awards.
