Jean Maurice Jules Cabut, known as Cabu, was a French comic strip artist and caricaturist. He was a prominent staff cartoonist and shareholder at Charlie Hebdo. Cabu was tragically murdered in the January 2015 shooting attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper offices. His work was often satirical and aimed at social and political commentary.
