Allan Simonsen is a Danish former footballer and manager, widely regarded as one of Denmark's greatest players. He primarily played as a striker, achieving considerable success with Borussia Mönchengladbach, winning the UEFA Cup twice. He also played for Barcelona, winning the Cup Winners' Cup. Simonsen is the only player to have scored in the finals of the European Cup, UEFA Cup, and Cup Winners' Cup, and he won the 1977 European Footballer of the Year award.
